We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

The Sr Energy Solutions Technical Project Manager role is fully competent in the technical aspects associated with the energy solutions initiatives and programs including residential and non-residential photovoltaic solar, battery storage, and/or electrification.

  • Provides oversight in, or self-performs, the development of project site layouts ensuring compliance with best practices and all applicable laws and codes.
  • Manages and ensures vendor compliance with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts.
  • Provides technical project management to project designers, engineers, and construction contractors.
  • Provides technical oversight to ensure Dominion’s safety and environmental practices and procedures are observed.
  • Coordinates with local safety and environmental compliance manager to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Coordinates project commissioning process including safety, development of system turnover packages, system walkdowns, punch list management, coordination with operations and system documentation.
  • Manages or performs quality control and assurance inspections ensuring projects are constructed and commissioned to Dominion standards.
  • Must possess knowledge of solar photovoltaic, battery storage, and or electrification systems, and associated technical specifications, applicable laws, codes, and best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Sr Energy Solutions Technical Project Manager:

  • 5+ years directly related experience, demonstrated knowledge of solar photovoltaic, battery storage, and/or electrification project design, design standards.
  • Operational knowledge of or experience working within the energy industry preferred.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
  • Skilled in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Cost control and reporting skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certification preferred; if not NABCEP certified, must demonstrate equivalent knowledge.

 

 

Energy Solutions Technical Project Manager:

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors

Business Administration, Engineering or Integrated Science disciplines preferred.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certification preferred; if not NABCEP certified, must demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
