We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

The role will have non-dominion energy workers (NDEWs) report to them.

This role is responsible for the development, coordination, management, training, and oversight of Employee Experience (EX) programs. These programs include but are not limited to Employee Resource Groups, Engagement & Inclusion Councils, DiversAbility Employment Program (DEP), Disability Inclusion and Veterans Inclusion.

  • Identify all stakeholders and coordinates required actions amongst them.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and recommend changes to the programs.
  • Provides analysis that support the proposed strategies.
  • Identifies gaps in the workplace and develops/coordinates new strategies and improved programs to increase inclusivity.
  • Develops and socializes training content to be used by employees to increase understanding of the programs and the impact of inclusion and belonging at the company.
  • Develops methods to analyze and measure the effectiveness of the programs to ensure the desired outcome is being achieved.
  • Prepares special events (such as the ERG and E&I Council Leaders’ Summit), reports, presentations, and other training material, as required.


ERGs and E&I Councils Support:

  • Act as the primary liaison for key Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Engagement & Inclusion Council stakeholders including Chairs, Vice-Chairs, Focus Area leads and Executive Sponsors.
  • Facilitate and build relationships between ERGs, Councils, and Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Community Affairs, Employee Experience & Talent Strategy, Corporate Philanthropy, Supply Chain Management and other key parts of the company.  In partnership with the Employee Experience team, evaluate the need for creating additional ERGs as appropriate.
  • Coordinate communications to support and drive participation in ERG and Councils’ initiatives by partnering with Internal Communications, Marketing and Public Relations as appropriate.
  • Provide high-level training to ERGs and E&I Councils  to ensure consistency in governance, processes, communications and interactions with the Executive Engagement & Inclusion Committee, the Employee Experience team and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Serve as Lead Administrator for the Energosity platform, owning platform configuration, governance, and vendor partnership, while training and enabling EX team members to support the program and ensuring ERG leaders are equipped with the tools and training needed for success.


Employee Engagement

  • Assist with the Employee Engagement Survey action planning efforts by being the point of contact for Engagement Liaison action planning teams.
  • Assist with Employee Listening efforts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

7+ years direct experience in HR, Employee Experience, Workforce Development or project management (people-related) work.

  • In-depth knowledge of organization structure, Employee Experience practices and initiatives.
  • Project Management/Leadership skills-ability to lead projects, programs, people confidently.
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse employee audiences and adapt content in real time.


Demonstrated project management skills for employee conferences and company‑wide events, including timeline management, logistics, stakeholder coordination, and post‑event evaluation. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple programs, projects and/or resources at one time.

  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze programs/projects and recommend strategic action.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to influence without authority. Experience analyzing data and communicating trends and metrics.
  • Has previous experience in a leadership role for an employee resource group or engagement & inclusion council

Education Requirements

Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience are accepted in lieu of preferred degree. 

Preferred Disciplines:  Human Resources or Business Administration
