Job Summary
- Responsible for project management of high volume, complex Electric Distribution projects.
- Manages projects and adherence to the company's terms and conditions.
- Accomplishes assigned objectives and ensures scope, schedule, and cost of project.
- This position is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects, including internal and external work, VDOT and municipal relocations, large industrial customer jobs, main feeder‑hardening initiatives, planning activities, and reliability improvements. This list is not exhaustive and may include additional work request types as assigned.
- Responsible for tracking actual vs. forecasted costs, indentifying cost variances, and communicating financial risks and mitigation strategies to customer.
- Creating detailed project timelines with milestones and dependencies.
- Monitoring progress against the schedule and updating forecasts as needed.
- Successful candidates may report to Herndon or Charlottesville.
- Successful candidates will be responsible for Charlottesville or The Valley offices (Shenandoah, Blue Ridge and Rockbridge/Allegheny)

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
- 8-9+ years demonstrated experience in project management, relevant technologies, and in the project area.
- Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
- Strong team building skills.
- Effective negotiating skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology
