We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This role includes dual responsibility for developing and managing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, with a specialized focus on leveraging Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance Electric Distribution workflows and productivity. The Program Manager will create and manage long-term goals, budgets, operating plans, and business cases to achieve prescribed programmatic objectives, including the deployment of Generative AI-powered solutions to support productivity, knowledge transfer, and technical and engineering analysis.
Lead the development of strategic business partnerships across internal departments, external customers, regulatory bodies, and industry peers, while serving as a consistent and accurate spokesperson for the company. This role involves researching, developing, and implementing Generative AI solutions to support business stakeholders and delivering timely status reports throughout the implementation lifecycle. Collaborate with Electric Distribution business teams to refine process—particularly those leveraging Generative AI and advanced analytics—and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project decisions. Support contract negotiations and regulatory filings, including RFPs, while maintaining compliance and execution standards. Monitor budgets, establish project timelines and milestones, and manage scope, scope changes, and project costs. Drive customer outreach and ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
- 7-8+ years related electric utility industry and/or Generative AI experience.
- Deep understanding of Generative AI principles, transformer architectures, and attention mechanisms.
- Experience working with state-of-the-art LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA) and domain-specific fine-tuned models.
- Prior experience in both team and process management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, resolution management, and team building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities.
- Skilled in prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and chain-of-thought prompting for utility applications
- Experience building and training supervised and unsupervised models for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection
- Familiarity with cloud-based ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of ML Ops practices (CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, monitoring, rollback strategies).
- Awareness of data privacy regulations (NERC CIP, GDPR) and secure handling of sensitive utility data.
- Experience implementing access controls, encryption, and audit logging in AI workflows.
- Ability to build user-friendly interfaces for engineering and field staff (Streamlit, Dash, Power Apps).
- Experience with version control (Git), agile development methodologies, and collaborative coding environments.
- Strong communication skills to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with engineers, analysts, and field crews to gather feedback and iterate on solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electric distribution infrastructure (feeders, substations, transformers, protective devices).
- Ability to fine-tune models using electric distribution data sets (outage logs, asset metadata, crew dispatch records, engineering manuals).
- Proficient in data wrangling and preprocessing (Pandas, NumPy, SQL).
