Job Summary
Develops, implements and analyzes complex, master project schedules including major permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Integrates and manages master schedule including critical path analysis and reporting, lag relationships, constraints, interdependencies, and critical milestones for each schedule. Performs risk assessments of contractor-provided schedules, and proffers alternatives to prevent or regain schedule slippage. Manages and tracks schedules, provides impact analysis of new or delayed project activities, and advises leadership of options to ensure project is completed on time and on budget. Collaborates with project management, site staff, and contractor, compiling and analyzing data to mitigate current or future project delays that could impact the critical path of the project. Provides scheduling expertise and analysis to support change order negotiations, contract development, and bid evaluation process. Develops and maintains Scheduling Practices and Procedures and instruction and training of Primavera P6 and MS Project. Establishes and maintains appropriate, internal control safeguards, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting to project management and executive leadership. Directs or coordinate the work of these individual contributors. Serves as lead for P6 system architecture and database administration. Builds, maintains, and enforces global structures and procedures. Verifies and documents contractor’s progress. Consults with Engineering and Contractors, developing and maintaining performance metrics such as progress curves, labor histograms, and project milestones.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
-7-8+ years of experience in construction scheduling.
-Experience in resource loading schedules, contractor-generated baseline schedules, time impact analyses, commodity curves, earned value management reporting, and monthly actual to plan variance analysis.
-Proficiency with (P6), MS Project, Excel, and Word.
-Ability to read engineering and construction drawings.
-General construction contract knowledge.
-Understanding of work-scopes, sequencing, and construction.
-Experience managing P6 global and project-level user access, and permissions for dash-boarding.
-Ability to convert MS Project to Primavera P6.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work with multiple project teams in a matrixed organization.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Construction Management, Engineering
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and/or AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
Required: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project

Requires prolonged use of a computer keyboard and scanner. Exposure to high-voltage electricity. May require working unscheduled overtime and weekends and/or holidays to complete projects or meet deadlines. May require occasional travel and overnight stays. May be exposed to chemicals, including but not limited to, flammable gases and liquids, toxins, pesticides, corrosives and petroleum products.
