We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion is seeking either a Business Systems Analyst or a Sr Business Systems Analyst in Dominion Energy’s ITBA DES & Enterprise Applications department. This position will provide support to our Supply Chain SAP team. The individual in this position will provide support for internal customers, and their applications/processes including second level HelpLine support. This SAP Functional team position will work with and provide support to ITBA business areas encompassing all of Supply Chain and Shared Services. As such, SAP experience is strongly preferred, however experience with enterprise application configuration and support paired with a willingness and aptitude to learn SAP can be substituted for SAP experience. This individual will also be assigned to lead or support client IT projects, enhancements. This position is critical to the ITBA DES department in supporting the current and planned workload for Shared Services. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Identifies opportunities to apply technologies to business processes, through research and fact-finding. Role is established in the Information Technology function. Develops and maintains credibility, and effective working relations, with both user and IT personnel. Demonstrates to clients an understanding of business problems, IT strategies, issues, and priorities. Participates in less complex technical studies to evaluate business requirements and recommends solutions. Works with an individual business unit on multiple project assignments. Requires guidance in complex problem areas. Errors may cause minor delay, expense, and disruption.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Business Systems Analyst: 3+ years experience.

Senior Business Systems Analyst: 5+ years experience working directly with SAP OR 3+ years experience Enterprise Application configuration and support.

  • 3+ or 5+ years experience developing process maps, gathering business requirements with strong emphasis on researching and understanding complex issues, root cause analysis, and application testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Experience working on capital projects and O&M efforts for multiple facets of a client area.
  • Experience working in and/or leading multi-disciplinary work teams/groups.
    • Includes working with clients to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, configuration, unit/regression testing, and performing change management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and understand issues and troubleshoot to find root cause through logical and analytical thinking to provide second and third level support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line; utilize Quality Center for documenting and tracking work requests, and use of Service Now for Helpline related requests.
  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn functional SAP configuration, along with enthusiasm for continuous learning and curious nature that lends to troubleshooting and problem solving.

Preferred Technical Skills

Technical Knowledge (strongly preferred):

Business Systems Anaylst:

  • 1+ years experience working with supply chain
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, Ariba, B2B, Mergers/Acquisitions, AP processes
  • General awareness of process and application integration options
  • Advanced adherence to formal testing techniques/methodology, consistently delivering work product/deliverables
  • Adherence to formal Change Management Policies

Sr Business Systems Analyst:

  • 3+ years experience working with supply chain
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, nuclear document management system, MMSR, eSourcing, Ariba, VMI, Mergers/Acquisitions, AP processes
  • General awareness of process and application integration options
  • Advanced adherence to formal testing techniques/methodology, consistently delivering work product/deliverables
  • Adherence to formal Change Management Policies

Education Requirements

Bachelor'sDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
