We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Dominion Energy’s ITBA DES & Enterprise Applications department.

  • This functional team position will provide support to our Facilities & Fleet Management teams.
  • The individual in this position will provide support for internal customers, and their applications/processes including second or third level Help Line support.
  • Experience with M5, Indoor Finders, and building management systems is strongly preferred, however experience with enterprise application configuration and support paired with a willingness and aptitude to learn can be substituted for experience.  
  • This individual will also be assigned to lead or support client IT projects, and enhancements.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Facilities teams to understand operational needs and translate them into detailed business requirements.
  • Identify business systems solution requirements by interviewing clients and analyzing work processes to evaluate information systems functionality.
  • Analyze business requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications.
  • Conduct business process analysis and contribute to long-range system planning.
  • Develop and execute test plans, perform system configuration, and assist with user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with implementing workarounds when system issues affect operations and provide advanced customer service.
  • Provide second and third-level Help Line support for Facilities-related system issues.
  • Lead or support enhancements and IT projects that improve Facilities operations and asset management.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology solutions and business strategies.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

2+ years of experience in business analysis, process mapping, and enterprise application support.

 

Technical Skills (Strongly Preferred)

  • Experience with ERP systems or Fleet Management, and Facilities Management applications.
  • Familiarity with integration options between systems and processes.
  • Strong adherence to formal testing and change management methodologies.

Additional Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to research and resolve complex customer issues.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  • Demonstrated concern for quality and customer trust.
  • Experience with technology projects and understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Computer Engineering

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
