Business Process Consultant - Customer Information Platform (CIP) Case Mgmt

Job Summary

This role will be within the Meter to Cash tower for the Customer Information Platform (CIP) project. The CIP project is an initiative to replace technology that is core to the VA and NC electric customer experience including core billing systems and customer facing portals.  The Meter to Cash tower focuses on back office processes.  The project will include the analysis, design, building and testing phases in order to implement the new technology.   This role will be responsible for the development of case management processes.  Case management includes the identification of a customer issue, the management of the issue by various organizations, and final resolution of the issue.  The role will report to the Manager, CIP and will have all responsibilities related to case management.  
The Role will be responsible for the following for Case Management:
•    Manages business impacts and outcomes of solution capabilities
•    Responsible for all case management functionality through project phases
•    Align and coordinate across tower leads through all phases of the project
•    Define the scope of the Case management and work across tower leads to align on scope
•    Identifies process issues crossing multiple processes and coordinates resolution 
•    Help define the performance goals and metrics for the proposed solution.
•    Design the SAP configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements.
•    Use the business process requirements to drive out application requirements and metrics.
•    Identify and resolve ownership and deployment issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with IT systems supporting Dominion Energy Power Delivery organization
  • Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as a full year towards the qualifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with IT systems supporting Dominion Energy Power Delivery organization
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of stakeholders from individual contributors to executives
  • Experience in project management and with project management tools
  • Experience in working on functional requirements as a business user
  • Experience in working as a technical role for large projects
  • Experience in working across functional areas
  • Possess good attitude, dedication and work ethic, the ability to focus, and attention to detail.
  • Readily think outside the box.
  • Be comfortable challenging the status quo: Develop new ideas and processes.
  • See through the eyes of others – customers and colleagues.

  • Previous experience fully executing projects,
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively lead and facilitate multiple project teams simultaneously,
  • Ability to independently resolve complex problems in a timely manner,
  • Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management,
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
