We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy seeks a Business Process Consultant to join the NERC Enterprise Policy and Compliance (NEPC) team. This role is based in Richmond, VA.

The Business Process Consultant develops, implements, and advises on processes and technology solutions administered within the Regulatory Compliance and Policy (RCP) team. Specifically, the Business Process Consultant coordinates with RCP team members to identify opportunities where process automation or technology solutions can be deployed to efficiently administer work activities. Additionally, the Business Process Consultant prioritizes and manages the queue of technology customer work requests, tracks and works to resolve any identified technology issues, and develops analytics and metrics from implemented solutions to ensure business processes are effective and to inform RCP strategic decision-making.

The Business Process Consultant leads technology related projects, which requires the ability to manage the complete technology development lifecycle which includes:

  • gathering and understanding technical requirements from stakeholders,
  • analyzing technology’s capability to meet customer requirements,
  • understanding appropriate security architecture, IT requirements, and system limitations,
  • effectively planning, managing, executing, and communicating project deliverables,
  • developing and maintaining system documentation,
  • creating and delivering user training, and performing other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

10+ years experience in business process tool development and/or project management. Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year towards experience. 

Preferred qualifications: MS-SQL, MS CoPilot Studio, Change Management, Process Mapping, & Requirements Gathering. Can understand the technical aspects of regulations and policies and their impact on company operations and compliance. Demonstrates project leadership management skills including ability to manage projects from start to finish. Possesses excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (including public speaking). Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence among peers and management.

 Additional preferred skills include:

Technical Writing; Skilled in designing compelling presentations and effective CBT training materials;

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:  Bachelor
