We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Business Performance Analyst to join the Electric Distribution Asset Management team. The Electric Distribution Asset Management team includes the following organizations: Asset Management, Program Management, Forestry, Standards, and GIS. The team is critical to Dominion Energy's commitment to reliable, affordable, and increasing clean energy.

This Business Performance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the team through reporting and analysis, operational progress, and financial performance (both Capital & O&M). The role will include responsibility for developing and maintaining dashboards and other tools to support the team’s business strategies.

Associate/Mid Level:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial information.
  • Define and develop performance metrics.
  • Analyze and recommend data collection process improvements and ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics.
  • Identify better work and business processes.
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and other tools to support business strategies. 
  • Develop and implement automated methods and systems.
  • Perform varied analyses and prepare reports to support operational progress and financial performance.

In addition to the requirements listed above the senior level is expected to:

  • Work independently to prepare, analyze, and present financial information.  
  • Identify and implement better work and business processes.  
  • Provide leadership to co-workers. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

Associate Level = 0-2 years or relevant experience in a directly related field. Planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously, Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Analytical skills. Good computer skills. Good oral and written communication skills.

 

Mid-Level = 2-3+ years of relevant experience in directly related field. Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Effective analytical skills. Strong computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Senior Level = 5-6+ years of relevant directly related work experience. Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Effective analytical skills. Excellent computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor preferred in Accounting (102) or Economics (206)

 

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor 

Preferred Discipline(s):  Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
