Associate Transmission Equipment Asset Analyst

Job Summary

Work under direction of experience team members to assist with management of Transmission and related business unit asset information and policies through all stages of asset life cycle, including scheduling and tracking of Electric Transmission construction and maintenance activities.  Assess procedural adherence and operational risks by evaluating issues and/or gaps in identified department processes.  Identify processes to ensure integrity of asset information across multiple platforms.  May assist with resolving data collection issues associated with deployed technology such as handheld computers and software in support of field inspection data management activities.  Analyze engineering documents to verify technical schemes and asset configurations.  Perform analyses of asset information and historical records in support of engineering studies, compliance initiatives, and audit support and documentation.

 

This position is within the Electric Transmission Field Operations (ETFO) System Protection Group and is responsible for ensuring appropriate compliance maintenance activities; policies and associated documentation are managed and maintained in support of ETFO’s Protection Systems Maintenance Program (PSMP).  This position will be responsible for entering protection asset information and associated maintenance plan assignments into Systems Applications and Products (SAP) and PowerBase.  This position will assist with periodic reviews of the ETFO maintenance program to ensure compliance with applicable Reliability Standards.   

 

Specific daily tasks may include and will focus around the following:

  • System Protection equipment design, operation and maintenance
  • Electric Transmission compliance requirements (NERC, SERC, NEIL) and the Electric Transmission Protection System Maintenance Program (PSMP)
  • Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Plant Maintenance
  • Substation and System Protection Application (Websis)
  • EnoServ administration and testing practices

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 0-2 years directly related experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Plant Maintenance
  • Experience with database management and process evaluation and corrective action implementation
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat software
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports and generate follow up notifications
  • Ability to analyze program results and develop training materials
  • Planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously,
  • Focus on quality
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to manage work and to perform varied duties simultaneously,
  • Strong computer skills,
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Disciplines: Preferred: Business,Engineering,Information Technology
