We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Candidate will be involved in AI related research and development activities. This includes working closely with IT architects, ITBA Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement AI solutions within Dominion Energy’s private cloud environment. Under general supervision, assists in writing and maintaining simple applications and performs limited systems design. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs to meet business requirements.

 

Responsibilities:  
•    Evaluate Generative AI solutions from a functional, technical, and risk standpoint.
•    Development and implementation of Gen AI solutions to solve business problems.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
•    Collaborate with architects and systems analysts to code, test, and deploy modular and scalable AI solutions.
•    Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of AI solutions by following coding best practices and performing thorough testing and validation.
•    Stay current with industry advancements and continuously seek opportunities to improve AI capabilities within the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

1-2 years of experience in programming and systems analysis.

1+ years of experience in GenAI or AI/ML application development.
1+ years of experience in DevOps deploying Cloud hosted solutions.

 

  • 6+ months of experience with Energy sector (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Ability to develop applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience in working with databases.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain technical proficiency via self or formal training.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
