Job Summary
The Associate Network Security Engineer works under the direct and immediate supervision of leadership, network security engineers and technical staff to support the network security and affiliated systems that protect the network. Ensure the Company's network security systems are secure, available and run efficiently. Responsible for implementing, maintaining and the day-to-day operation of the network security infrastructure the Company relies on to operate.
The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise security platforms, including antivirus, endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response (EDR), endpoint privilege management (EPM), and related security technologies. This role supports security operations by monitoring security events, investigating and responding to threats, managing platform health and maintenance, supporting vulnerability remediation efforts, and ensuring the effectiveness of security controls across the enterprise. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience supporting cybersecurity technologies, and a proactive approach to protecting organizational assets through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
- 0-2+ years of relevant exempt experience in a directly related field.
- Basic experience in security aspects of multiple platforms and systems desired.
- Demonstrated competency in verbal communications and interpersonal understanding.
- Ability to create a network of relevant individuals to solve operational problems.
- Ability to identify business problems.
- Concern for quality.
- Flexibility.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer trust and confidence in the Information Technology team's knowledge of, and concern for, the customer's business needs.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties simultaneously.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
Preferred Discipline(s): Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering Business Administration, Information Technology
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: CompTIA Security+CompTIA Network+Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Other Working Conditions
- Hybrid work schedule with a rotating one-week in-office and one-week remote work arrangement.
- Participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
- Occasional overtime may be required to support security events, system upgrades, maintenance activities, and project implementations.
- Requires the ability to respond to urgent operational issues in a timely manner.
- May require occasional travel for training, team meetings, or business-related activities.

What You'll Get
Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:
$65,500 - $85,000
The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
