Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for someone who is passionate about coordinating meetings and special events.  Under direct supervision, this position supports event planning and design for corporate meetings and special events and oversees supporting logistics. 
 

Specific duties include:
 

  • Works with executives, leadership, Board of Directors, government officials and agencies, non-profit organizations, special interest groups, shareholders, and business concerns.
  • Supports planning and execution of events within project schedule to meet critical deadlines. 
  • Supports development of event communications, selection of printed materials, and proofreading of communications. Helps generate required reports. 
  • Supports corporate events, including ground breakings, ribbon cuttings, dedications, employee appreciation events, executive and Board of Directors' dinners, retreats, and the Annual Meeting of Shareholders. 
  • Assists in scheduling travel arrangements. Interacts regularly with corporate leadership and Board of Directors.
  • Works with confidential and proprietary information and projects. Represents Company at professional organizations, company socials, and business gatherings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

0-2+ years of directly related experience.  Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
 

  • Passion and interest in coordinating events, meetings, corporate travel.
  • Basic knowledge of meetings-industry, with ability to support planning and implementation full pre/post-program management.
  • Experience with vendor contracts.
  • Basic negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work with, and develop rapport with, all levels of management, colleagues, and associates.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to program attendees, clients, and internal team members.
  • Strong organizational, planning, implementation, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of company organizational structure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including executive. Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to manage high volume of work.
  • Flexibility to work in remote and outdoor locations under extreme conditions.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours for extended periods of time.
  • Basic knowledge of company budgeting and accounting systems policies and procedures.
  • Personal computer skills. 

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:  Bachelor
