Associate Business Systems Analyst - Rotational Cohort Program

Job Summary

The IT DES & Enterprise team is excited to offer  three entry level Business Systems Analysts to join Dominion Energy and participate in a associate-level rotation program. This program would initially place new hires into the SAP HR team where they would learn valuable SAP skills, Business Systems Analyst basics, and cross training in technical areas where desired. It also will include a mentorship component with teammates and leadership. 
 

After about six months, members in the rotation program would have the ability to explore other areas of the IT Business Accounts group to include SAP Finance, Supply Chain, Plant Maintenance, Basis administration/security, ABAP development or other enterprise application support in a functional of more technical role. In these different areas, members of the rotational cohort will be able to develop skills in functional requirements gathering, application support, building test scripts and testing, hands on configuration and enhancements to systems, change management processes, and customer service. This position has remote flexibility that rotates on a weekly basis and offers the ability to work a flexible schedule. 
 

Cohort members will have several rotational opportunities culminating in a final placement at about the 1½ to 2-year mark. 
 

General Responsibilities of an Associate BSA include: 

  • Assists in identifying opportunities to apply technologies to business processes, through researching and fact-finding. 
  • Role is established in the Information Technology function. 
  • Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic difficulties, as necessary, under direction of experienced Business System Analysts. Works with an individual business unit on specific project assignments. 
  • Work is closely checked, and errors may cause minor delay or expense.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 0-2+ years directly related experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience with an associate’s degree in a related field. 
     

Additional Requirements: 

  • Staffed by beginners who have a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Demonstrated competency in verbal communications, written communications, and interpersonal understanding.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust.
  • Ability to establish and maintain confidence in the Information Technology's teams' knowledge of, and concern for, the customer's business needs.
  • Ability to manage work and perform varied duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze problems and think logically.

The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.
•    Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3  plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
