We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is hiring for three Associate Controls Specialist, Controls Specialist or Sr. Controls Specialists to join our Electric Distribution Project Controls team.  

The position will be responsible for developing budgets, forecasting, cost estimating, cost analysis, and implementing cost controls for Electric Distribution Capital projects. 
•    Prepare cost estimates and develop detailed electric distribution capital project schedules. 
•    Develop and maintain cost plan based on approved estimates and schedules. 
•    Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure project is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
•    Prepare budgets and analyze monthly cost reports. Implement, evaluate, and monitor controls systems. 
•    Coordinate use of controls equipment and facilities. 
•    Conduct meetings with contractors and company personnel on cost control matters. 
•    Interface with other departments to coordinate and integrate support requirements on construction schedules. 
•    Evaluate project field and scope changes for impact on cost and/or schedule and update project budgets. 
•    Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

Associate Controls Specialist - Minimum 0-2 years of relevant controls, financial and/or project experience for the Associate Controls Specialist

Controls Specialist - Minimum 3 years of relevant controls, financial and/or project experience for the Controls Specialist

Sr. Controls Specialist - Minimum 5 years of relevant controls, financial and/or project experience for the Sr. Controls Specialist

•    Knowledge of cost controls principles.
•    Good verbal/writing/presentation skills.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
•    Bachelor

•    Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
