Process Assistant II or III - Fuel Infrastructure (Hybrid)

We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy's Critical Infrastructure group is looking for a Process Assistant II or III to work out of our Orange County, Virginia office.
 
The Process Assistant II performs a variety of clerical tasks that support a specific workflow or phase within a business process. Working under immediate supervision, this role is accountable for the transaction of part(s) of business processes. 

Job tasks require the Process Assistant II have a general knowledge in the area of their assignment and understand company policy and procedures to enable them to process information, documents, or materials. Tasks include: 

  • Set up comprehensive records and files
  • Prepare standard reports and charts
  • Compile data from various sources and forms 
  • Contact other departments to obtain information & reconcile routine discrepancies
  • Perform advanced arithmetic calculations
  • Maintain record of documents processed, make any necessary corrections, and code items
  • Maintain communication with department regarding any missing or incorrect data
  • Utilize computer systems and/or other related equipment to record, store and retrieve information. 
  • Preparing and compiling regular and special reports using established formats and procedures 
  • Perform highly structured clerical duties based off established procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

 
Additional responsibilities for the Process Assistant III position: 
 

  • Informing departments of missing or incorrect data
  • Performs comprehensive clerical duties that are highly structured according to established procedures
  • Selecting and compiling data from multiple sources
  • Performing calculations to translate data and information into required results 
  • Investigating and providing routine explanations of variations from generally expected results
  • Resolving discrepancies found within regular and special reports
  • Communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the company

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Process Assistant II

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 2+ years general office experience.
  • Proficient personal computer skills.
  • Proficient skills using spreadsheets, word processing applications, and SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of company and department procedures.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to answer, route, and handle customer calls
  • Basic knowledge of approving and/or reviewing timesheets
  • Ability to schedule meetings and take minutes
  • Ability to order and maintain an inventory of office supplies and materials
  • Basic knowledge of reconciling flex cards
  • Basic knowledge of paying invoices (SAP, Flex Card, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of handling requisition purchase orders (POs)
  • Basic knowledge of creating work orders (SAP and others)
  • Basic knowledge of creating & updating Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans (SAP and others)
  • Basic knowledge of creating & updating Functional Location (FLOC) equipment & classification data (SAP and others)


Process Assistant III

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Ability to prioritize work and exercise considerable discretion in
  • performance of duties
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 5+ years general office experience.
  • Strong skills using spreadsheets, word processing, database applications and SAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
  • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to answer, route, and handle customer calls
  • Basic knowledge of approving and/or reviewing timesheets

The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.
•    Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3  plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
