Job Summary

Dominion Energy Ohio is hiring for an Associate Business Performance Analyst/Business Performance Analyst (BPA). There is one position available that will be filled at either the Associate BPA or BPA level, commensurate with the selected candidate's skills and abilities. The successful candidate will be able to work out of our East 55th office in Cleveland, OH, or our GSO office in North Canton, OH.
 

Associate Business Performance Analyst

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial case studies for a business process.
  • Define and develop performance metrics; analyze and recommend data collection process improvements; and ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics.
  • Identify better work and business processes.
  • Develop cost/allocation, cost/benefit programs, systems, and models to support the development of business strategies.
  • Develop programs and implement automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance efficiencies.
  • Perform varied analyses and prepare reports of an economic, business, and engineering nature

Business Performance Analyst

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial case studies for a business process.
  • Define and develop performance metrics, analyze and recommend data collection process improvements, and ensure data integrity as it relates to reporting and analytics.
  • Identify and implement better work and business processes.
  • Develop cost/allocation, cost/benefit programs and models to support the development of business strategies.
  • Develop programs and implement automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance efficiencies.
  • Perform varied analyses of an economic, business, and engineering nature.

 

More specifically, the Associate/Business Performance Analyst role will ensure that assets have an associated operating, maintenance, inspection, and/or remediation activity. They will verify that the activity has the correct frequency and compliance date based on business rules, Standard Operating Procedure, Regulatory Code, Subject Matter Expert, and/or as identified through an integrity program. They will also make sure that the activity has a relationship to an asset and that the activity is in the proper compliance system. The position will ensure that the dates and frequencies of activities have the correct compliance date and are also in compliance systems such as SAP to allow for scheduling/assigning in an efficient method that would optimize efficiency. In addition, this role will also perform records research and manage the production station asset ownership initiative.   

 

Responsibilities of the position include but would not be limited to:

  • Becoming knowledgeable with SAP Plant Maintenance processes for repetitive maintenance and compliance tracking. Focus on forecasting, planning and rescheduling of planned work.
  • Knowing and understanding SOPs and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. 
  • Monitoring compliance activities and ensuring the application of frequencies in accordance with business and regulatory rules.  
  • Developing and operating a QA/QC process for data within the compliance system.
  • Learning SAP Business Warehouse (BW) for additional or future reporting needs.
  • Developing programs that support Operations.
  • Maintaining SAP and various activities within SAP and/or current compliance systems.
  • Creating ad hoc activities as needed. 
  • Supporting initiatives related to production assets 
  • Supporting operations such as Metering & Regulating and valve inspection and maintenance activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

Associate Business Performance Analyst:

  • 0-2 years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
  • 2+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree

 

Business Performance Analyst:

  • 3+ years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
  • 5+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree

 

Additional knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously;
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Effective analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor 

Preferred Discipline(s):  Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
