Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this role has now evolved to include coordinating the development and execution of all new electric distribution projects throughout the Dominion Energy service territory handled by ED Project Management. This will incorporate ED capital project workload across rider and base portfolios, including the ever-growing data center project arena. Provide leadership and supervision to team to ensure the successful development and management of these projects. Coordinate the efforts of Customer Service and Strategic Partnerships, Communications, External Affairs, Media Relations, and Distribution Planning to ensure company and customer expectations are met. This role will provide functional management for various level employees.

Provides technical oversite and guidance for all within the department. This guidance may involve providing practical field knowledge and engineering experience to develop comprehensive project solutions that are both constructable and cost effective. The role will provide team leadership and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and collaboration while providing efficient resource utilization to complete Distribution Line projects on time, on scope, and on budget.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

8+ years related experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas. Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones. Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills. Ability to process information quickly. Ability to work in a high pace multiple task environment and to plan and organize work for self and others. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Strong knowledge of the distribution system and facilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers. Willingness to make effective business decisions based on analysis and abstract thinking. Self-starter, business acumen, strong reputation for integrity and ethics. Strong project management and customer service skills.

Education Requirements

If degree preferred, then the degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience are accepted in lieu of preferred degree.

Bachelors

Disciplines preferred: Business Administration, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or applicable disciplines.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Project Management Professional preferred. (PMP)
