Job Summary

This role provides Power Generation station warehousing coordination, materials and inventory management, bill of materials creation processes, and service contractor support. Serves as the site representative for all corporate supply management activities and initiatives. Provides strategic support for assigned Power Generation System or Merchant stations.. Ensures station supply chain compliance with all legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements governing supply chain management, to include internal audits, external audits, and associated corrective actions. Monitors materials and procurement activities to ensure fulfillment of business requirements including plant issue resolution, and that systems, processes, procurement support and suppliers meet business requirements, to include performance indicator monitoring. Ensures site material needs are met by understanding critical upcoming planned work activities and tracking priority materials for daily and outage material requirements. Coordinates plans and meets material target delivery dates, collaborating with sourcing teams, expeditors, transportation, and warehousing. Works closely with maintenance to determine if plant equipment is obsolete; provides oversight, to include the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), in the anticipation and disposal of stations hardware and software equipment such as computer, electronics, hardware, digital electrical switchgear etc. and vendor planned support with field service and manufacturing abandonment. Provides in-depth analytical support through various Inventory Optimization techniques, process management, and business intelligence to support consistency, cost management, and operational excellence across power generation sites. Ensures stocking levels are appropriate when considering the operational constraints and risks associated with supply volatility. Responsible for training and providing direction to site personnel on Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, warehouse safety, and inventory control to include storekeepers and trainees. Provide guidance and support to SCM Site Supervisors, ensuring Supply Chain objectives and processes are met. Provides high-level, backup coverage for departmental reporting. May serve as site representative and site contact for specific service contractors such as HVAC, landscaping, and elevators. Supports station work planning as needed to include establishment of new materials including the development of bills of materials, and stockroom efficiencies. This role may provide supply chain support for multiple sites, with some travel required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-5-6+ years of working knowledge of supply management techniques, materials management, and inventory control
-Basic knowledge of plant operations, maintenance and design control.
-Demonstrates working knowledge of computer applications and systems.
-Considerable knowledge of job-specific applications in materials management, corporate finance, and accounting.
-Must possess good project management skills.
-Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

-Skilled the use of a computer and Microsoft Office related software.
-Demonstrates leadership skill, skilled in the ability to influence people without authority.
-Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
-Demonstrated analytical skills, skilled problem solver.
-Solid understanding of Inventory Optimization techniques and inventory management; excellent organizational skills.
-Abstract thinking abilities.
-Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and external personnel. Ability to apply good business judgment, and manage multiple priorities.

-Works effectively in a team environment, lead and direct others.
-Prior Warehouse work experience (7+ years) demonstrating increased responsibility and understanding of Supply Chain management techniques and, inventory control.
-Prior work experience using SAP software applications preferred.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
