We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy is seeking a highly motivated Reliability Engineer to join the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) Operations and Maintenance Team. This role is critical in driving proactive reliability solutions, implementing data-driven methodologies, and supporting long-term asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Reliability Analysis: Perform reliability modeling and analysis (e.g., Weibull analysis, failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), and criticality evaluation) to assess and improve system performance.
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, including condition-based and predictive maintenance programs, to maximize equipment uptime.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and report on key operational and reliability metrics such as Availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) to identify improvement opportunities.
- Project Management: Lead initiation, planning, and execution of major overhauls or improvement initiatives.
- Design Reviews: Participate in the design and engineering of new systems to ensure reliability principles are incorporated into the development process.
- Failure Analysis: Perform in-depth root cause analysis on failures and lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Spare Parts Analysis: Perform critical spare parts assessment to determine optimal inventory levels.
- Proactive Rist Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive identification and execution of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshooting: Support troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing on-site equipment issues, analyzing historical operational data, and documenting failure modes.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on reliability principles and best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience – Reliability Engineer II
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- General knowledge of predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibrational analysis, IR thermography, and oil analysis).
- General knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.
- Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Matlab, Excel, etc.).
- Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Ability to climb to heights up to 250 feet or greater and work in confined spaces
- Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 lbs. or less as required by the safety regulations.
- Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safety perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.

- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Full knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals.
- Full knowledge of predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibrational analysis, IR thermography, and oil analysis).
- Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
- Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
- Equally effective working independently or in team environment.
- Proven decision-making skills.
- Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to climb to heights up to 250 feet or greater and work in confined spaces
- Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 lbs. or less as required by safety regulations.

An Engineering PhD can be substituted for up to 5 years' experience based on research engineering work on directly related projects approved by executive leadership.

For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met:
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or
Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Vibration Analysis ISO Category I, GWO BST (Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training)
