Job Summary
Manages or supports assigned tasks supporting the development, permitting, design, construction, commissioning and operations of offshore wind projects for Dominion Energy. Drive provided goals for internal team and achieve performance-based results. Supports development and management of specific portions of project budget and schedule and can provide accurate, concise updates to management. Reports to Director Operations – Offshore Wind.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement Emergency response plan and Safety management system, including preventative measures and marine coordination efforts during construction and operations. Coordinate with vessels and vessel providers prior to executing work for DE in the lease area to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Foster relationships with maritime stakeholders, including US Coast Guard, Virginia Maritime Association, Recreational &Commercial Fisheries, Port of Virginia, and scientific research organizations
- Manage the Helicopter Service agreement and coordinate all activities of Heliservice in the lease area.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with marine operations, including weather, navigation, and environmental factors.
- Responsibility to include logistics, crewing/personnel roster, load-in and load-out of equipment, training, access, resupply, cross-package coordination between contractors, simultaneous operations/deconflictions, and overall scheduling.
Relocation assistance can be offered to the successful eligible candidate.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience operating in maritime environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing or leading teams
- Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills.
- Skilled in managing changes that may impact the achievement of project schedules, cost or specifications or impact project safety.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to resolve problems during the design and planning stage.
- Ability to understand Proformas and business systems.
- Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous work experience demonstrating project management skills for large construction projects.
- Proven multi-departmental leadership skills for teams that report directly to them or functionally report to the project.
- Ability to interact with others, communicate clear instructions and evaluate results.
Strongly Preferred:
- USCG or commercial shipping experience
- Experience with vessel inspections, investigations and/or emergency response
- Extensive knowledge of marine pollution regulations and spill response
Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.

Project Management certification desirable.
