Job Summary

Supervises the operation of the Power Generation station warehouse management activities, and ensures compliance with Supply Chain Management policies and procedures. Manages customer interface to ensure effective issue resolution. Assesses and prioritizes department and/or project requirements and resource needs. Interacts with station management, to explore early involvement of SCM Generation Sourcing on station procurement opportunities. Works with SCM Generation Director, managers, and peers at other stations, to ensure implementation of warehousing and inventory strategies. Plans and implements communication on initiatives, strategies, and activities from the station and supply management. Provides input for station outage and daily planning activities. Manages warehouse maintenance and repair activities. Provides supervision to storekeepers. Performs general supervisory duties including development of work procedures, budgets, and goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 5+ years of directly-related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials management, logistics theory, and logistics applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of material policies, processes, and systems.
  • Full knowledge of material accounting practices.
  • Working knowledge of SCM procurement policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Knowledge of material planning techniques.
  • Strong negotiation and communications skills.
  • Consensus team building skills and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to changing environment.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Business, Engineering, Materials Management

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
