Job Summary

North Anna Power Station (Nuclear) located in Mineral, VA is looking for an Electrical Engineering intern to work in its Systems Engineering department the summer of 2024.  Job duties will include:

  • Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions.
  • Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns.
  • Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements.
  • Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements.
  • Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player

Must have strong verbal and written communications skills

Education Requirements

Must be currently enrolled full-time in an ABET accredited Engineering program at a four-year college or university. Prefer Electrical, Computer, Electronics, or Power Engineering

Must be a rising sophomore or junior with anticipated graduation date of no sooner than December 2025.
