Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Nuclear engineering student for the Summer 2025 intern session to work in the Reactor Engineering group of the Nuclear Engineering Department at North Anna Power Station, Mineral, VA. Job duties may include: Reactor flux data acquisition and analysis for periodic surveillances of power distribution Ranking cycle thermal performance analysis Trending of reactor performance Periodic walkdowns of primary systems Development of Reactor Engineering technical products Project assignments will be made in consideration of completed coursework. 

 

Job duties may include:

  • Trending of reactor performance
  • Periodic walkdowns of primary systems
  • Development of Reactor Engineering technical products

Tasks will be mentored by experienced engineers

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Working knowledge of engineering theories and principles. 
Ability to think analytically and solve engineering problems. 
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices. 
Ability to process information and effectively manage multiple tasks. 
Strong planning, organizational and project management skills. 
Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing). 
Equally effective working independently or in team environment. 
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Able to work as team player and work with various groups in the station to provide a user friendly product. 

Willing to get into the field and perform hands on evaluation of plant modifications

Education Requirements

Individuals must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program at a four-year college or university. Individuals must have an anticipated graduation December 2026 or later.

Students must have a 2.5 minimum GPA
