Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina is looking for a Process Assistant I or II to join our team in Lexington, SC. There is currently one position available that will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.  DESC Electric Operations designs, constructs, operates and maintains reliable power delivery systems as the largest energy provider in South Carolina. This position is responsible for the administrative support of one of the five crew quarters (Blythewood, Chapin, Lexington, Piney Woods, Metro) in the Columbia District. Duties include:

 

  • Time entry
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies,
  • Maintaining departmental files
  • Independently reviewing and processing invoices/expense reports for approval and payment to include using applications such as SAP.
  • Compose routine office correspondence and organize meetings, meeting rooms, setting up equipment, food arrangements, etc.
  • Gather information from a variety of sources to assist in preparing reports and verifying associated data.
  • Collects and compiles statistics and other related information
  • Creates processes, sorts, indexes, records, and files a variety of records, contracts and reports for the local office and district.
  • Assists in service restoration during outages.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

Process Assistant I 

  •  0-2 years general office experience.
  •  Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
  • Basic understanding of the operation of computerized and function-related equipment to record, store and retrieve information.
  •  Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic personal computer skills including using spreadsheet, word processing applications and SAP.

 

Process Assistant II 

•    2+ years general office experience.
•    Ability to manage multiple activities and resources.
•    Strong oral and written communication skills.
•    Proficient personal computer skills.
•    Proficient skills using spreadsheet and word processing applications and SAP.
•    Basic knowledge of company and department procedures.
•    Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Must be able to compile and prepare reports, correspondence, and/or statistical analysis. Must be able to maintain records and filing systems.  Must be able to type and/or enter data into computer systems, including strong computer knowledge and skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, or specialized software packages skills. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must be familiar with Federal and State rules/regulations, licensing and permitting requirements for assigned area. Must be able to build a strong business relationship. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as he ability to work with little or no supervision. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding departmental information is a must.
