Job Summary

This position, located at the V. C. Summer Nuclear Station, is responsible for performing assigned electrical maintenance activities which include troubleshooting of complex electrical circuitry, maintenance activities of large and small electrical motors, circuit breaker testing and repair and checkout of equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

This job requires a high school diploma or GED and  at least one of the following: 

1) a four year degree;

2)  a two year technical degree in Industrial Electronics (or equivalent); 

3)  equivalent military training in the above in electronics or electrical maintenance; or

4)  eight years of industrial electrical experience.

Computer skills are required to interface with daily assignments.

Previous nuclear experience is a plus.  The selected candidate will be placed in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program based upon experience and prior training and must successfully complete this training program prior to reaching journeyman status.

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must be able to work twelve-hour rotating shifts. 

The candidate must be capable of working at heights in radiation environments greater than 100 degrees and must maintain respirator qualifications. 

 

Test Description

Qualified candidates will be required to complete the Maintenance Aptitude Selection System (MASS) test.
