Job Summary
Responsible for oversight and supervision of project work at the station, including overseeing contract supervisors and their staff. Supervise, coordinate, and direct construction tasks involving design change packages, rigging, scaffolding, electrical, mechanical, insulation material handling, painting and facility maintenance support for the station. Ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with plans and specifications. Direct and coordinate daily construction activities for compliance with safety, ALARA, quality standards, schedules, and budget. Track and prepare project budgets.
Interface with other station departments to ensure efficient coordination of work activities. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design changes. Review assigned projects for constructability, methodology and test sequencing. Provide input for construction status. Provide technical assistance in implementing plant modifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
-7+ years (with preferred Bachelor's degree) of relevant nuclear power experience, including a minimum of two years in a nuclear power leadership position;
- In lieu of preferred related Bachelor's degree, may substitute related Associate's degree and 9+ years of relevant nuclear power experience, to include a minimum of two years in a nuclear power leadership position; or may substitute High School diploma/GED and 11+ years of relevant nuclear power experience, to include a minimum of two years in a nuclear power leadership position;
-Familiarity with processes and procedures required to implement physical modifications to the facility;
-Understanding and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural and/or facilities systems and processes. This includes mechanical systems, piping, pressure vessels and welding, electrical systems, electrical components and installation standards, civil components, rigging, material handling and installation standards, and/or facility maintenance, plumbing, vehicle maintenance and building codes;
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-Ability to lead personnel to safely and efficiently execute work;
-Ability to organize resources to achieve station goals;
-Demonstrates high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments;
-Acts with bias for action to challenge and correct behaviors and promote high standards of performance;
-Demonstrates high integrity, safety, professionalism, and appropriate behavior driven results;
-Proactively communicates information and decisions to personnel and station leaders in a manner that is honest, direct and meaningful;
-Capable of demonstrating and promoting a clear bias for action to resolve issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making;
-Ability to maintain appropriate oversight of personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary;
-Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics, and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
