Job Summary

The Residential (Combo) Sales Representative is responsible for gaining commitments for profitable natural gas customer acquisitions within our new and existing residential and commercial markets. The purpose of this position is to grow the company’s customer base and the use of natural gas through multiple appliances per customer. The successful candidate will be required to generate revenue through the sale and installation of gas appliances, gas piping and or other Company approved programs. The Residential (Combo) Sales Representative serves as the central point of contact for residential customers, builders, developers, and contractors in the designated territory. This position will also act as a liaison for the Company and the surrounding communities, while being actively involved in industry related associations. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: selling, promoting, and coordinating the installation of natural gas appliances, related services and products, and service installations within the Henderson area as customer demands warrant.  Duties include, but are not limited to: obtaining accurate project information to provide input for use in the Workforce Management (WFM) and SalesForce systems, and working as the liaison between the Company and external customers so that timely installation of gas facilities is completed. This position will support corporate sales programs and strategies, as well as, customer service initiatives through involvement in industry-related, as well as, community organizations. Position may necessitate the performance of job duties outside of normal working hours.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum of 2 years of natural gas or related sales experience is required or, a High School diploma/GED and 10 years related sales experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years' experience.  Must be able to: demonstrate ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a competent and professional manner, must have strong computer skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing business environment, work independently and as a team member, have strong interpersonal and time management skills.  Experience in sales and marketing practices and procedures and knowledge of installation codes and standards and inspection process standards, underground distribution system, equipment applications and sizing requirements, the Customer Information System, the Company’s Project Feasibility Model, Mapframe, and the PeopleSoft Inventory System is ideal.   Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred.  Must have reliable transporation for work duties.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in sales or related field
