Job Summary
The Senior Instructor (Nuclear) - Technologist will be responsible for the following:
Developing instructional materials and implementing training for instructors of various technical training programs at the Company's nuclear power stations.
- An incumbent at this level should have in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory and the ADDIE model of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training in the classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job.
- This level is responsible for maintaining training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Ideal candidates also understand software programs such as Vision Developer used to store training curricula, Vision Web for online testing and course management systems such as MOODLE or Blackboard used to deliver online learning.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
12 + years of related experience OR;
Certified Instructor (including 5+ years of experience)
In depth knowledge of instructional theory and design and SAT.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, good personal computer, operate various instrumentation and controls, problem solving.
Abilities: Analyze and develop training materials, train and lead others, interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers, informal leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate with regulators.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Discipine: Education
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s) listed above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.5.4
Education requirements: High school diploma
Minimum experience for the position:
Related experience which shall include 2 yrs; Nuclear power plant experience to include 0.25 yrs. Special requirements:
1.) Shall have demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through training or experience and be certified as a qualified instructor for the material being presented;
2.) Instructors of licensed personnel who provide instruction on the simulator shall hold, or shall have held, a senior operator's license or have been certified for equivalent senior operator knowledge.
