Senior Financial Analyst (Glen Allen, VA)

Job Summary

This position will provide financial management and consolidation support for the budgets and forecasts within the Contracted Asset Business Unit.  In addition, this position will provide ad hoc analysis and support as required.

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of the budgets and forecasts for Millstone Power Station
  • Maintain strong financial oversight of the Contracted Assets segment cash flow including forecast/budget development and variance analysis
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, and create data-driven recommendations
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements continuous improvement and process transparency
  • Work collaboratively across a matrixed, cross-functional structure, and collaborate with a high-performance team
  • Communicate successfully with various leadership levels
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 5+ years of related financial work experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP
  • Experience in financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices required.
  • Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • Requires excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Utility and/or relevant industry experience preferred.
  • The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting is required.
