Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated student for an internship during the summer of 2025 in the Corporate Nuclear Engineering and Fuel Department’s Electrical/I&C Analysis Group. This position is located at Dominion’s Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA.
Within the Electrical Analysis functional area, we ensure the acceptability of the electrical design at the Nuclear Power Stations. The candidate job responsibilities may include plant electrical load tracking, AC/DC analysis using Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) software, cable specification & management, electrical protection & coordination, technical evaluation development, and general electrical theory/principles utilized in design basis analysis.
The project and tasks will be mentored by an experienced engineer.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Knowledge of basic electrical theories and principles is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired. Proficiency in MS Excel with Macros is preferred.
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
- An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited 4-year college or university
- Must be graduating in the spring of 2026 or later
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
