We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

 

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an experienced nuclear professional to fill the role of Nuclear Maintenance Performance Improvement Consultant.

 

The Maintenance Performance Improvement Consultant is responsible for the following:

 

  • Provide oversight, governance and leadership to drive station performance in the assigned functional area and is accountable to provide recommendations that will positively affect performance outcomes and improved station efficiencies and reliability.
  • Systematically overseeing and routinely evaluating department management performance including evaluation of leader performance.
  • Routine responsibilities also include frequent site visits, participation in department self evaluation meetings, performance deep dives and observations of maintenance performance both in plant and in training.
  • The Maintenance Performance Improvement Consultant is responsible for the review and analysis of data resulting in recommendations to better integrate plant processes, procedures, maintenance protocols and practices, to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Maintains frequent communication with the Peer Group, station leaders, corporate executive and leaders to influence and establish fleet-wide actions and priorities.
  • Work with appropriate personnel to understand and apply industry best practices and standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Must meet one of the following:
Bachelor degree and 7 years of experience in Maintenance leadership at a nuclear station OR;
Associate degree and 9 years of experience in Maintenance leadership at a nuclear station OR;
HS Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience in Maintenance leadership at a nuclear station

 In addition:
Must be an experienced, knowledgeable, and energetic professional capable of leading from a position of support and influence, and must work closely with all levels of the organization and Peer Group Governance structure.
Considered an expert in the functional area.
Working knowledge of the nuclear industry, processes and procedures.
Strong organizational, project management, and communications skills.
Ability to review, analyze and compile complex technical information and develop recommendations for management.
Solid team player with an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.

 Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as one year toward the year of experience. A Master's Degree will count as one year toward the years of experience.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Business Administration, Engineering, Science

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Required:  SRO License – Unspecified (for Operations discipline)
 
For non-Operations areas:
Prefer NRC SRO license (hold or have held)
