The Consultant will directly influence the outage performance of Dominion Energy Nuclear’s fleet of four power stations. With the Consultant’s leadership and support, it is expected that the fleet will achieve top-tier outage performance within the industry.
Core to the Consultant’s success will be their ability to identify outage best practices and implement them across the fleet. - Assist in stations outage readiness.
- Conduct outage readiness reviews and assessments, with standard review items for Fleet Outage Scope Review (at T-6 months prior to an outage), Fleet Outage Preparation Review (T-3), and Fleet Outage Executive or Review Board Challenge (T-2).
- Ensure readiness reviews are challenging and determine readiness.
- Enforce process discipline.
- Monitor outage milestones for proper closure, adherence and recovery process.
- Validate scope selection.
- Interface with the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program owners to obtain consistency in the Fleet for outage PM scope.
- Oversee outage management and execution.
- Participate in T+1 month critiques for the stations and Fleet rollups.
- Monitor overall outage improvement critiques to ensure consistency and to ensure station and Fleet improvements are pursued.
- Promote Fleet incorporation of industry best outage practices and lessons learned.
- Maintain and enhance the Fleet outage documents with the Outage working group of outage coordinators.
- Drive Fleet standardization.
- Assist station Outage Coordinators with tactical issues as they are identified in the Fleet.
In all aspects of their role, the Consultant will be expected to build trusting and productive partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including the outage groups located at each power station.
