Job Summary
The continued success of Dominion Energy’s Nuclear division requires the efforts and expertise of a wide variety of professionals. It also demands exceptional planning and logistical coordination. To help orchestrate these teams and resources, the Nuclear Division is actively looking to hire a Manager Nuclear Projects– Corporate (CFAM).
The Manager will be responsible for providing strategic oversight, governance and leadership to drive the nuclear business unit performance in the assigned functional area and is accountable for performance outcomes that include project implementation and oversight across the nuclear business unit. They will systematically oversee and routinely evaluate project performance through review and analysis of data resulting in recommendations to better integrate plant processes. Routine responsibilities also include:
- frequent site visits and participation in station management review meetings
- representing Dominion Energy with INPO and other industry groups that evaluate Dominion Energy performance and provide industry leadership in support of industry performance improvement.
The Manager will serve as the lead for the Fleet Peer Group Governance and Oversight team supporting the Project Management Peer Group.
Further, the Manager will be responsible for the review, analysis and integration of plant processes, procedures, project controls protocols and practices, and overseeing the development of a consistent and integrated standard plant administrative process/procedure platform. They will ensure the inclusion of industry best practices in peer group products.
The Manager is directly responsible for leading station and corporate project leaders in the governance of fleet projects implementation and controls from a position of credibility and influence to achieve industry best practices in projects across the Dominion Energy nuclear fleet. They will work closely with all levels of the Peer Group process, maintain frequent communication with the Peer Group Executive Leader, Chairperson, and Peer Group members. The Manager carries significant influence and works directly with the peer group executive leader and chair to establish fleet-wide actions and priorities.
The Manager is expected to stay abreast of industry best performance and obtains useful information for their Peer Group. Continually assesses industry initiatives and standards that are constantly evolving, and research internal assessments, reports, and observations to identify site-specific deficiencies for fleet-wide shortfall. Assesses INPO evaluations and NRC reports and researches other industry activities (technical, safety, organizational, etc.) for potential opportunities to operate more safely, reliably and efficiently. Identifies benchmarking and self-assessment opportunities and ensures personnel take advantage of them in support of NBU and Peer Group priorities.
The Manager will be expected to work across other discipline CFAMs to ensure project implementation standards and protocols are supported by all disciplines to ensure successful outcomes in project execution.

Success will depend upon their ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and influence positive action to advance essential work. The Manager must excel at managing schedules, identifying blinds spots, managing risk, clarifying issues, and developing solutions. They must demonstrate an inquisitive mind to understand the details essential to ultimate success.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

8+ years of supervisory or management level experience in project implementation in power generation industry.
- Must be an experienced, knowledgeable, and energetic professional capable of leading from a position of support, and must work closely with all levels of the Peer Group Governance structure;
- Working knowledge of power industry, processes and procedures;
- Considered an expert in project management;
- Strong organizational and project management skills;
- Ability to review, analyze and compile complex technical information and develop recommendations for management;
- Solid team player with an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals;
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred candidates will have prior experience working in the nuclear power industry
Education Requirements
Education Level:
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
- Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related degree
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Additional training and education in project management to include the Project Management Professional (PMP).
