We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The department's primary responsibility is the design, development, and implementation of high voltage (69kV – 500kV) underground transmission lines. Interns will learn how transmission lines impact the grid, underground transmission components, design and construction techniques, transmission project workflow, and project managment. Opportunities will be available for software training, construction site visits, and networking. This position will be primarily in an office setting.

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
- Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals;
- Planning, organizational and project management skills;
- Effective decision making skills;
- Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing);
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems;
- Equally effective working independently or in a team environment;
- Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.
Education Requirements
The following criteria must be met:
- Must be pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Preferred fields include: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering) from an ABET accredited Engineering program.
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a graduation date of Fall 2028 or later.
- Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.

Hourly Rate:
$27.00 - $29.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
