We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Job Summary
This internship role supports the efforts of the Transmission Owner Strategy group with its representation of Electric Transmission's (ET) business interests in the stakeholder and regulatory processes of Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). It provides an opportunity to learn about the PJM Interconnection and its wholesale electricity markets and will help Electric Transmission analyze and understand the RTO and FERC policy landscape pertaining to transmission expansion, operations, planning, and project execution.
Additional duties include:
- Assists the Transmission Owner Strategy group in covering RTO stakeholder committees, subcommittees, task forces, and forums.
- Monitors ET regulatory and policy changes and assists in the development of informational briefings for business unit leaders.
- Assists with research and analysis of transmission policy and rule changes to determine impact to the company.
- Assists Transmission Owner Strategy staff in developing corporate positions on RTO planning and strategic ET obligations and opportunities.
- Collaborates with corporate FERC policy team and electric market policy team to drive ET strategic initiatives.

- Demonstrated skill using PC-based applications and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Education Requirements
Education Level: Working toward Bachelors
Disciplines preferred: Energy Law, Energy Policy, Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, History, Communications
Prefer an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
A GPA of 3.0 or greater is required.
