Job Summary
Develop, design, analyze and evaluate transmission facility additions/modifications by applying engineering theories, principles, and practices that contribute to safe, reliable, and cost-effective transmission line designs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed design for high voltage transmission line projects. This will include, but not limited to, building new lines, re-building and modifying existing facilities, fiber installations, and customer relocations.
- Provide field support for construction activities related to transmission line projects. This will include, but not limited to, construction site visits and project meetings.
- Interface with other departments or groups such as Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, Permitting, Real Estate, Right of Way Administration, and Transmission O&M.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences required for entry into this job include the following:
- Self-motivator who has the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, but is comfortable independently seeking knowledge and information
- Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
Education Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program that is ABET accredited majoring in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must have a graduation date of Fall 2028 or 2029.

Hourly Rate:
$23.00 - $29.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
