We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The corporate Nuclear Engineering & Fuel department is seeking an engineering intern for the Mechanical Engineering Analysis team. Candidate will be responsible for assignments which may include thermal-hydraulic analysis of nuclear power plant fluid systems, HVAC system and building modeling, motor operated valve (MOV) analysis, air operated valve (AOV) analysis, and mechanical component evaluations (e.g., pumps, seals, heat exchangers).
Under direction of supervisor or work leader, interns will:

Perform routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge.

Gain familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc.

Develop the ability to apply fundamental engineering principles and techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of related engineering tasks.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.

Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.

Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.

An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.
Education Requirements
Student shall be enrolled in an ABET accredited Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering degree program (not Engineering Technology) from a 4-year college and have a GPA of at least 2.5 and be a rising sophomore or junior with a planned graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
