We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The Substation Equipment Monitoring Group is responsible for designing, procuring, and installing monitors on both new and vulnerable electrical equipment assets. Working with an engineering mentor, the intern will gain familiarity with the following online monitors: dissolved gas analyzers, transformer monitors, circuit breaker monitors, generator monitors, capacitor bank monitors, power quality meters, and infrared cameras. Additionally, the intern will learn how the team periodically retrieves data throughout the day from each of these devices, how data is analyzed, and how automated alarming for threshold violations is configured. This role will support a group initiative to provide analysis tools that offer insight to electrical equipment operations and help prevent catastrophic equipment failures.

Education Requirements
- Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must have an anticipated Graduation Date of Spring 2027 or Spring 2028.
