We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy’s Advanced Reactors Team is currently seeking an experienced Generation Project Manager (“PM”) to support a variety of initiatives associated with the development and management of “new nuclear” projects specific to the potential build out of SMRs and Advanced Reactors to support the Dominion Energy zero carbon goal by 2050.
Projects will range in size from major complex projects to managing/coordinating smaller projects within existing generating facilities or those in support of a major complex project. Major complex projects include new nuclear generating facilities, environmental projects (cooling towers, land disturbance, tree removal), nuclear modifications (existing plant and neighboring sites).
The PM supports specific phases of major new nuclear projects including business development support, site development, permitting support (air, water, state, local, etc.), scope development, major contract negotiations (equipment, engineering, or EPC), engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, construction activities, commissioning and transition to commercial operation. The PM will manage all phases of smaller improvement projects including permitting, contracts, and construction related planning activities. They will support the development and management of specific portions of major projects budgets, and manage overall project budget and schedule for smaller projects. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Typically reports to Manager or Director.
The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) reporting to them.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
- 7+ years of industry experience (with preferred bachelor's degree) in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
- 9+ years of industry experience (with associate's degree) in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
- 11+ years of industry experience (with high school degree) in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
- Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules.
- Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
- Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums
HIGHLY PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO POSSESS:
- Prior work experience in the nuclear energy industry
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Business.
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
