We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a co-op for Fall 2026 (with rotating co-op sessions in the Summer 2027, and Spring 2028) in the Corporate Nuclear Engineering and Fuel Department’s Nuclear Core Design group located at Dominion’s Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA. This position is for a co-op to work three rotational terms.
Job Responsibilities
The Nuclear Core Design co-op may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties supporting Dominion's nuclear units:
- Performing reload core physics analyses
- Fuel management calculations
- Plant core follow, and startup testing support
- supporting the development of new neutronics codes and methods
Project assignments will be made based on completed coursework. Tasks will be mentored by experienced engineers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Ability to effectively operate a personal and workstation computer, including standard Microsoft applications. Programming skills are desirable.
- Ability to define problems, collect information, evaluate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions in a time-critical environment.
- Ability to maintain a professional orientation, communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, and work effectively in team and independently under own initiative.
Education Requirements
- Must be a student studying Nuclear Engineering in an ABET-accredited program at a 4-year college or university.
- Must have a current graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Does this position require a driver’s license?
Yes – candidate will need to be able to report to Innsbrook for in person work and nuclear stations to support outage work as needed.
Working Conditions - Will this internship be in-person/on-site, hybrid or virtual?
Hybrid – Monday through Wednesday in person/on site, Thursday and Friday are optional virtual days.
