NSA scope includes reactor system transient analyses, containment response analyses, vendor LOCA analyses, fuel reload analyses and licensing, radiological consequences analyses, emergency procedure technical bases and setpoints, evaluations of as-found plant conditions, emergency response organization support, and 10 CFR 50.59 screens and evaluations for changes to the plant, safety analyses, and station procedures.
There is one position that will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Modify safety analyses in support of fuel changes and plant design changes.
  • Establish and communicate bounding conditions of safe operation (safety analyses) for the reactor core, reactor coolant system, balance of plant, containment systems, engineered safeguards, and safety-related auxiliary equipment of the Dominion Energy nuclear units.
  • Evaluate unanticipated as-found plant conditions (with system thermal-hydraulic or radiological consequence models and codes), provide input for operability determinations, and provide recommendations for restoration of equipment to the design conditions.
  • Prepare 10 CFR 50.59 screens and evaluations to support changes to the plant, procedures, and safety analyses.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities to maintain and enhance our role in supporting safe and efficient plant operation.
