We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy Virginia’s Electric Transmission (ET) Project Management Organization (PMO) is seeking a highly motivated Electric T&D Projects Manager II to support development, quality assurance, and project interface for the Generation Interconnect – Option to Build program. This role will serve as the consultant for management and must have the ability to clearly communicate issues and solutions. The primary responsibility for this role includes providing expert project support, direction, and advice for the development and implementation of special projects and programs. Incumbent will perform evaluations, analysis, and support for improvements within the Option to Build program. The role requires an individual who can apply previous field and technical experience to effectively interface with field and project organizations within the organization.

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expert project support to project team for development and application of process tracking and improvements
  • Provide development schedules and documentation to track and ensure teams are meeting milestones to support the organization
  • Review work activities to support Project Execution, Substation Standards, Quality Assurance, and Substation Engineering
  • Identify deviations from standard practices and develop/recommend improvements to existing processes to increase productivity
  • Evaluate and recommend applications and methods considering all stakeholder input to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
  • Participate in various company teams and industry organizations to enhance Substation Project group performance

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 7-8+ years of demonstrated experience in Project Management, Substation Engineering, Substation Construction, or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of substation components and their functions
  • Understanding of substation design drawing packages
  • Experience in project execution and project management
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Equally effective working independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
  • Firm understanding of the principles of transmission and distribution substations

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

 

Preferred Disciplines:  Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology

 

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Project Management Certification preferred.
