We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The Routing Consultant is responsible for managing and coordinating electric transmission routing feasibility reviews at Dominion Energy, ensuring alignment with established standards and consistency in project development deliverables. This role facilitates internal collaboration across planning, engineering, standards, and real estate teams to ensure routing solutions meet transmission-specific feasibility requirements. Serving as a key liaison, the Routing Consultant interprets technical findings for non-technical and public stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication. The role also manages stakeholder expectations and provides continuity in responses to routing inquiries. Additionally, the Routing Consultant maintains and updates routing feasibility models and metrics, incorporating SCC-approved alignments to guide early-stage planning. The position supports GIS-based deliverables and reporting, enabling effective visualization and interpretation of routing data for diverse audiences.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
8-10+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years in electric transmission siting and routing. Familiarity with local, state, and federal approval processes and regulatory frameworks. Understanding of routing studies, alternatives analyses, and SCC alignment preferences (Routing Consultant). Understanding of rail and transportation systems, and comprehension of rail, transportation, and linear utility best practices for routing/siting specifications (Utility Coordinator). Familiarity and experience in relevant linear utility industry trade groups (Utility Coordinator). Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). GIS-based reporting and data interpretation. Effective interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Organizational and time management capabilities. Communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences · Interpret and apply regulations to development plans. Balance engineering, regulatory, and strategic constraints · Influence and collaborate across teams. Facilitate open idea exchange and problem-solving. Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Identify trends and implement solutions based on complex data.

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelors
Preferred discipline(s): Urban/Regional Planning, Environmental or related discipline.
