Job Summary
Dominion Energy seeks a Cost Controls Specialist in the Subsequent License Renewal Program group at the Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA.
Job responsibilities include:
• Develop, implement, and coordinate planning, estimating, and forecasting for SLR projects.
• Develop and review project estimates.
• Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure projects proceed on schedule and within budget and provide status reports to management.
• Provide contract administration such as preparing purchase order requisitions, validating invoices and working with vendors to resolve issues.
• Implement, evaluate and monitor controls systems.
• Conduct meetings with vendors and company stakeholders on control matters.
• Act as lead cost controls representative to major capital projects (fixed asset management).
• Interface and coordinate with other corporate and station stakeholders.
• Establish and implement control policy and procedures.
• Identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a directly related field (finance, cost controls, etc.) OR;
- Associate degree and 4+ years of experience in a directly related field(finance, cost controls, etc.) OR;
- HS Diploma and 6+ years of experience in a directly related field (finance, cost controls, etc.)
- Knowledge of cost controls principles
- Good verbal/writing/presentation skills
- Effective work and project management skills
- Effective decision making and problem solving
- Effective math and computer skills
- Effective analytical skills
- Works effectively with employees at all levels and external personnel
- Consistently applies good business judgment
- Applies analytical abilities to diverse issues
- Manages multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to verify data and present statistical reports and documentation
Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as one year toward the year of experience. A Master's Degree will count as one year toward the years of experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
