Job Summary

The safe and successful operation of a nuclear fleet depends upon the orchestrated efforts of hundreds of dedicated professionals. In turn, organizing a large, diverse team requires effective communications via multiple channels. To execute this important work, Dominion Energy is seeking a Communications Consultant to join our Nuclear Fleet Communications team.

 

The role will lead internal communications strategy across the nuclear organization. They will translate complex information and business needs into impactful messages for unique internal audiences. The role will work with leaders and teams to develop strategic communications plans.

 

They will provide communications services including, but not limited to:

  

  • Develops multi-channel campaigns to align and inform the workforce and our various internal audiences.
  • Advises leaders and teams on communications opportunities and needs.
  • Conducts benchmarking and best practices in nuclear industry communications.
  • Serves as the communications project manager, on assigned initiatives, for targeted communications.
  • Coordinates content on multiple initiatives, including timely posting of updates and pertinent information.
  • Writes messages for executive leadership
  • Provides and analyzes data to measure success.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise at developing and executing full-cycle communication campaigns.
  • Fully adept at communicating persuasively, advocating, and developing rapport.
  • Proven leadership skills in leading teams.
  • Strong ability to define problems, collect data, and develop strategy.
  • Ability to plan and organize work schedule independently.
  • Superior writing and editing skills

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

 

Bachelor

 

Preferred Disciplines:  Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism

 

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
