We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Performs TCO analyses and supports execution of TCO savings initiatives. Supports development of strategic plans for assigned spend categories. Engages proactively with Transmission business segment customers on strategic sourcing goals, category strategies, initiatives, and annual capital spend targets. Participates in formulating sourcing strategies and supports the development of negotiation strategies. Leads and executes savings and continuity of supply issues. Communicates initiative updates and savings targets to Supply Chain and Transmission business segment leaders. Analyzes relevant markets and assess cost impacts of market events for assigned spend categories. Maintains supplier lists for assigned spend categories and builds partnerships with strategic suppliers. Works with suppliers and BU users to resolve implementation issues associated with assigned categories. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5 years related experience.

  • Exposure to customer business processes and objectives.
  • Basic understanding of business cost drivers.
  • General knowledge of assigned categories such as EPC services. 
  • Excellent communications skills that allow clear articulation of business cases and development of effective presentations.
  • Analytic toolset that will support the creation of financial targets, spend analysis, building of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models, and capture of TCO data.
  • Ability to develop detailed project plans and to provide project reporting.
  • Ability to support the development of a structured negotiation strategy, under the guidance of the Category Management Consultant.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
