We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

The Electric Transmission Engineering Standards team is seeking a motivated candidate to join our team to help us improve and manage Engineering Standards processes and related administrative tasks. This is an exciting time to join our team as we are growing to meet the challenge of industry-leading projects and initiatives like interconnecting 5000 MW of solar generation in the next 5 years, the first utility-owned offshore wind project in United States federal waters off the Atlantic coast, STATCOMS, IEC-61850, the largest data center load growth in the world, and Net-Zero Carbon by 2050.

Responsible for training staff and leading multiple analysis projects associated with making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications in order to create more efficient and economical operations for Dominion Energy and Dominion Delivery business areas. Provide leadership on multiple concurrent projects to evaluate, prioritize, scope, and meet objectives to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety. Develop understanding and sponsorship for projects at their startup, bring projects to closure while meeting customer expectations and agreeing on handoff for implementation. Lead activities of matrixed, cross-functional project teams, develop and communicate business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Oversee, develop, and effectively apply standard methodology, templates, and tools for business process improvement projects. Instruct, direct, and review the project work of staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 7-8+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field.
  • Previous experience fully executing projects.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively lead and facilitate multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to independently resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrates a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Experience in supply chain management, materials and services contracts

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities and experience

  • 7-8+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum 7-8+ years of experience with a preferred Bachelor's Degree (Or 10+ years with an Associate's Degree, Or 15+ years with HS/GED).  Preferred discipline(s): Business, Accounting, Engineering
