We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. 



 

 

Job Summary

  • Evaluates and processes requests and documentation, to ensure material is processed and ordered on a timely basis.  
  • Performs inventory analysis to include updating stocking levels, rounding value, minimum lot size, or material classification based on current and historical movement history to determine actual demand.
  • Communicates with business unit and internal customers when needed.
  • Consults with planners to determine real versus contingency requirements.  
  • Reviews on-hand inventory for possible transfer opportunities.
  • Maintains the integrity of the SAP material master and other systems used for tracking inventory.  
  • Responsible for new item creation, extending materials to other known locations, combining like for like materials, accuracy of mass load requirements, and processing transfer requests.
  • Reviews error reporting HOLD codes to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner.
  • Uses basic understanding of the nuances associated with material commodities such as usage and requirements of shelf life, non-destructive testing, asset and batch management.
  • Analyzes material usage patterns to classify planned and stocked items.  
  • Participate in resolution of supply chain issues between suppliers and customer groups.  
  • Analyzes inventory of surplus and/or obsolete materials, and acts to optimize stocking levels.  
  • Tracks and identifies material and vendor stocking requirements.
  • Analyzes inventory methods of control, reduction, classification, usage, and other development techniques.
  • Assists with development and implementation of warehousing strategies.
  • May evaluate and process material requisitions and reservations, to ensure items are properly classified and described, attributes meet corporate standards, and need date is sufficient.
  • Provides emergent 24/7 rotating coverage after-hours, weekends, and holidays to support customer needs.  
  • Understands nuclear safety-related parts requirements and regulations of 10CFR50 APPENDIX B & 10CFR21 APPLICABILITY associated with nuclear parts quality.  
  • Understands PAMS/Maximo and SAP material planning.  
  • Works on special projects and initiatives to meet departmental objectives.
  • Position will be filled at an appropriate level in the job series based on qualifications and experience.   

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Associate: 0-2+ years of experience with materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Intermediate: 2-4+ years of experience with materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Senior: 5-6+ years of experience with materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory analysis techniques and warehouse layout.
  • Working knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.
  • Skills: problem solving; oral and written communication; presentation; forecasting; trend analysis; computer use; value and cost analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, and bend to perform walkdowns and to search for materials.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
